Beyond The Gates Slips In Total Viewers

The soap had one of those weeks where nothing ever felt straight. However, the newest daytime entry posted 1.451 million viewers with a 1.0 rating. And that still sounds good when you look at the number alone. However, there is also a fall of 163,000 viewers.

Elsewhere, the show had only aired for two days. And because of the break, things change. Fans couldn’t enjoy their usual flow. Furthermore, it becomes difficult for a new soap to stay connected when a holiday week cuts its rhythm.

There was some good news also in the mix. The show had grown among women aged 18 to 49. It’s a group that every daytime drama cares about. However, it dipped among women 25 to 54. And so things went downhill at the same time.

These kinds of networks make networks nervous yet curious. It’s a way of telling that the audience is moving, not leaving. Moreover, the show also beat General Hospital in both key demos. It’s a huge thing, as in a holiday week, the viewers scatter. The episode that aired was focused on Thanksgiving inside Fairmont Crest.

Holiday Chaos Hits The Entire Lineup

However, this show is not alone in the chaos. Every soap has been hit. The Bold and the Beautiful pulled in 2.667 million viewers with a 1.7 rating. It was strong in both key demos. And it was in the number two overall spot.

Even though it had two days of preemptions. However, it still gained around 50,000 viewers. In it, Dylan confessed and ran down Luna. It also had the usual Thanksgiving scene. It’s something that brings everyone into one room.

The Young and the Restless ranked first that day. Elsewhere, it drew 2.977 million viewers, and the rating was 1.9. The story included Nick and Sharon searching for Noah and the Abbott family at Christmas.

Moreover, Abbott scenes always bring warmth, and that may be the reason for the small bump. Even General Hospital’s viewership dropped by 60,000. It also fell in both key demos. Drew proposed to Willow. And Dante tried to get Rocco out of jail. For more Beyond The Gates spoilers and updates, keep following Soap Opera Daily.
