EastEnders legend Louisa Lytton has revealed a big change to Ruby Allen and Martin Fowler’s love story that happened during her last stint on the soap. Long-time viewers know that the couple said ‘I Do’ back in 2020, in a surprise ceremony. But, their marriage was short-lived as Ruby was imprisoned in the following year after being framed for growing cannabis.
But, things changed for the duo again when Louisa Lytton reprised her role of Ruby last year and made a shocking return with her and Martin’s baby. The duo has a rough reunion, but they have once again grown closer for the sake of their son, Roman. They gave their relationship another chance. The popular soap actress also now opened up if there will be wedding bells in Walford once again for the pair.
While speaking to Inside Soap, Lytton said that there could be another wedding for Ruby and Martin in the coming months. She also shed light on how their first wedding plans changed due to Covid-19 restrictions. So she still has one soap wedding left. The actress also revealed that her character loves Martin. But their relationship is only to ‘give their son Roman some stability.’

Lytton also discussed what’s ahead for her character in 2025. And teased a business opportunity with Nicola would be something viewers can expect. She said, “I imagine they’d get on well – Nicola’s running Ruby’s old club now. Maybe she could work for her?
