Will Driscoll is ready to leave Coronation Street behind, but his family has no idea what he is really planning. Everyone believes the teenager is heading to Scotland with his mum to escape the painful memories connected to Megan Walsh. However, Will is secretly helping Megan flee the country with him. Just when it seems like Megan still has complete control over Will, an unexpected twist changes everything.
Will Still Wants To Be With Megan
Will Driscoll shocked his family after they discovered he had been groomed by his athletics coach Megan Walsh. The Driscolls were devastated to learn that Megan had manipulated Will into an illegal relationship. Even worse, the police could not charge her because she had been careful not to leave any evidence behind.
The only thing linking Megan to the crime was the baby she was carrying. But after Maggie Driscoll shoved her during an angry confrontation, Megan lied and claimed she lost the baby because of the fall. In reality, Megan secretly chose to end the pregnancy herself.
Even though the whole street now hates Megan, Will still believes in her and wants to be with her. He has secretly been making plans to run away to Paris with Megan. Sadly, Will has no idea that Megan plans to leave him behind once she gets what she wants.
Things become even more tense when Will’s mother Melanie returns and tells Ben Driscoll that Will should move to Scotland with her. Melanie believes Will needs to get away from Weatherfield and the trauma caused by Megan. Ben refuses to agree with her at first, leading to more family drama.
Melanie Drops A Dangerous Threat
Next week, Melanie visits the Rovers and tells Ben that “it’s high time” Will came to live with her in Scotland. Ben does not want Will to leave, but Melanie refuses to back down and soon brings up a shocking secret connected to Megan.
Eva Price quickly defends Ben and reminds Melanie that Megan fooled everyone. She tries to convince Melanie not to blame Ben for what happened. However, Melanie refuses to listen and later visits Maggie with a terrifying warning.
Melanie tells Maggie that she must convince Ben to let Will move to Scotland. If she fails, Melanie threatens to expose the truth about Alan’s death and reveal that Maggie pushed him down the stairs. The threat leaves Maggie shaken and worried about what could happen next.
At first, Will strongly refuses the idea of moving away. Later, though, he suddenly changes his mind after Ben admits that a fresh start in Scotland might help him heal. But Will is only pretending to agree because he is secretly helping Megan escape.
While Ben later discovers that £2,000 is missing from the safe, Will secretly meets Megan and gives her the money so they can pay for flights to France. When Eva questions him about the missing cash, Will acts innocent and insists he “can’t wait” to move to Scotland. Believing him completely, Ben, Eva, and Susie emotionally say goodbye as Will leaves in Tim Metcalfe’s taxi.
Tim Starts To Suspect The Truth in Coronation Street
Luckily for Will, or perhaps unfortunately for Megan, Tim Metcalfe understands exactly what Will is going through. Years ago, Tim lost his virginity to an older woman named Trisha. At the time, he believed the relationship was exciting, but later he realised it had actually been abusive.
While driving Will to the station, Tim receives a notification saying the Glasgow train has been cancelled. Even after hearing the news, Will desperately insists they still go to the station, which immediately makes Tim suspicious.
At the same time, Ollie also notices the train cancellation and tries calling Will. Back at home, Ben suddenly realises Will’s passport is gone and panics. He quickly asks Steve to message Tim and tell him not to let Will out of his sight.
Inside the taxi, Tim opens up to Will about his own past with Tricia. He explains that although he thought he enjoyed the relationship back then, he later understood that he had actually been abused. Tim even tells Will that technically he had been “a victim of rape.” Now the big question is whether Tim can finally make Will see the truth before Megan ruins his life forever.
