However, the Dubai concertgoers will remain devastated as the singer has once again canceled his concert. Yes, (on a sad note) you read that right!
Zayn Malik has recently announced that he won’t be able to host the scheduled show in Dubai due to ongoing anxiety issues. The Pillowtalk singer shared an apology to his fans. He wrote that he had been working on overcoming his anxiety problems around his solo live performance. The past three months were insane.
The singer tried every possible way to deal with such an extreme anxiety problem. However, things didn’t work out as planned. Zayn Malik continued by saying that he thought he was making progress. But he had lately realized that he didn’t feel sufficiently confident to move forward with the scheduled show in Dubai.
This indeed disappointed his fans, as they had been waiting for him to perform since he left One Direction, but his fans could understand his situation. Amid such a cancelation, 117Live CEO Thomas Ovesen said that though he was upset with this announcement, he appreciated Zayn’s honesty.
Ovesen said, “Whilst disappointed [Zayn Malik] not to be hosting the planned Oct 7th Dubai concert,” the CEO continued, “we appreciate Zayn’s [Malik] honest apologies and wish him all the best for the future.”
While it has saddened many, the managing team confirmed that the ticket holders will receive their full refund. They can get it back from their respective point of sale. He previously surprised his fans with his May 17 concert at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire. It was the singer’s first-ever show after leaving One Direction in 2015. Zayn performed his latest album, Room Under the Stairs, at the West London. Zayn even told the crowd he missed this, leaving many to believe the singer would return with a bang.
While his London concert set a milestone for the singer, he still needs to deal with his ongoing anxiety issues. Zayn Malik has reportedly dealt with such problems. Even in many interviews, he addressed that his daughter, Khai, is his biggest strength. But as of now, things seem on the darker side.
