They are all over social media, trying to learn whose voice it was. The video features a beach and never-before-heard lyrics of a strange and unfamiliar song. It might soon be dubbed a summer track. But what caught fans’ ears was the female vocals.
It sounds familiar to none other than Miley Cyrus. The song began with a fine guitar instrumental, with a voice likely to be Miley Cyrus singing in the background. The lyrics are, “We were dancing, we were wild in the ocean/ When the crowd is all around me/ You’re still all I see.”
Shortly after the lyrics, a phenomenal beat drops, and the video ends with a zooming out of the beach surface. While fans remained confused by his gesture, Calvin Harris left them in a frenzy by posting three wave emojis in the caption.
Well, it’s quite normal for Calvin Harris to drop such an extraordinary banger in summer. However, fans have been waiting for a collaboration with Miley Cyrus. Soon after the teaser dropped, many fans took to the comment section.
A fan wrote, “Calvin and Miley on their Endless Summer Vacation era.” Another fan commented, “Um, EXCUSE ME, IS THIS MILEY?!! MILEY CYRUS?!!” Although Calvin didn’t reply to any of those comments, fans are pretty sure the voice belongs to Miley Cyrus.
Well, how could no one believe that, since her vocals are quite unique and the voice resembles Miley in every possible way, from pitch to texture? Indeed, it’s definitely Miley.
