Damon Hay has been marinating behind bars for quite some time on Coronation Street. The villain was taken down after a robbery he was involved in went sideways. However, the current storyline surrounding Bethany Platt has swung the doors wide open for Damon to make a smashing return, especially in Sarah Barlow’s life.
It is no secret that Damon Hay tried his absolute best to pursue a proper relationship with Sarah. However, getting thrown in prison poked a hole in his hopes. But now that Sarah is in such a tight spot, Damon Hay wants to help. When he found out about Bethany’s botched-up surgery and the ordeal Sarah was facing while trying to pay the bills, he decided to reach out.
Damon left Sarah a voicemail offering to pay for Bethany’s medical bills on Coronation Street. However, Adam Barlow ends up intercepting Damon’s message in Sarah’s voicemails while trying to find a message from the insurance company. As expected, Adam is furious that Damon reached out to Sarah.
In a fit of rage, Adam deletes Damon’s message from Sarah’s voicemail and decides not to tell her about it. However. later when Daniel Osbourne’s crowdfunding plan fails, Adam feels forced to confess. He tells Sarah that Damon offered to pay the bills, He tells her that Damon left her the address to a secret locker containing money that she can use to pay the bills.

But when Sarah realizes that Adam has deleted the message containing the address, she calls up Damon in the prison. It is certain that Damon will give her the address once again.
