After seven years from the cobbles, Catherine Tyldesley returns to the soap as the unforgettable Eva Price. The actress, now 41, is set to start filming this summer, with her on-screen comeback scheduled for autumn. A source revealed, “Cath has been away for a while and worked on countless other projects, but she really missed Corrie. They’ve tried to get her back a few times, but the stars have never aligned.”
The source added, “But when she was approached with the idea for Eva’s return, it was too good of an opportunity to pass up. She’ll start filming again in summer and be back on screen for autumn. She’s so excited and can’t wait to get back on the cobbles. And it’s not going to be a storyline to miss.”
Long-time fans will remember Eva as the fiery barmaid with a penchant for romance and drama. From 2011 to 2018, Eva was involved in some of the soap’s most popular storylines. Her love life was always the center of the soap as she tangled up with Aidan Connor, Adam Barlow, Rob Donovan, Jason Grimshaw, and Nick Tilsley.
