A blink and miss flash forward scene in a recent Emmerdale episode confirmed the death of a prominent character. We recently reported that Roxy Shahidi is all set to exit the soap as Leyla. Now, the teaser scene has confirmed that Leyla is indeed about to die in the long-running ITV drama. The news has left the fans absolutely heartbroken. However, spoilers reveal that her death storyline is going to be jaw-droppingly intense.
Towards the end of August, Emmerdale had aired three different scenarios that show the alternate ways Tom and Belle’s future story could go. The first one showed a conciliation between Belle Dingle and her abusive husband Tom King, just so that he would leave Amelia Spencer alone.
The second alternate reality showed Cain Dingle attacking Tom, while Belle ends up in a mental asylum. But it was the third reality that is of the highest significance. It showed Belle working at Make A Vow. Her body language and polished look showed that she had been working there for quite a while. However, it didn’t feature Leyla Harding- the owner.
In August we did not know about Roxy Shahidi’s upcoming exit. Thus, no one thought anything about Leyla missing from the flash forward. But now that we know about Lyla’s impending death storyline, we can’t help but wonder if Belle’s beginning work there could be related to Leyla’s exit story.

Interestingly, we are not the only ones connecting the dots, fans too are creating an uproar about it on the internet. “Emmerdale have known Roxy was leaving for ages, that flashforward episode where Belle and Suzy were co-owners of Take A Vow… no sign of Leyla, that was probably the first hint,” a passionate fan asserted on social media.
