Liam Replaces Ella’s Role!
The Brook Cottage Surgery was short of one staff member as Ella was imprisoned due to her actions, which created tensions between Liam and Chas. Though she begged Liam, claiming she was innocent, he didn’t believe her.
Meanwhile, soap viewers know the truth – John Sugden framed Ella for tampering with Chas’s medicines, bombarding the couple with messages, and smashing the window at the Woolpack.
As the surgery didn’t have enough money to replace Ella at the reception desk, Liam met John at the Woolpack. He shared that he would like John to take the place. Liam told John that ever since Ella was arrested, the couple have been struggling to stay strong. He added that since he had been handling the reception tasks so well, he and Manpreet thought that John could temporarily take over the receptionist role. Furthermore, he made sure that there would be no drop in salary.
John Is Furious – What Will He Do Next?
Liam even apologised to John for giving him this task, he also explained that he would only fill the position until they have funds. However, the medic got angry, claiming that the new role was inappropriate for a highly trained medical professional. He accused Liam of holding grudges because of Kerry. John added that what happened with Kerry wasn’t over, and it was still having an impact.
This rising tension at the surgery could create bigger problems in the village. Soap fans know John frames situations to prove himself a hero. In the past, he has put several residents at risk to prove himself as a skilled medic. However, now he is facing doubts.
