Emmerdale Spoilers recall that Ruby has been living with a dark secret for a long-long time. However, nothing ever remains buried forever in Dales. We recently found out that Ruby had been sexually assaulted by her father when she was a teen. In fact, she even admitted her fears to Chas that her abuser could have been the one who fathered Steph. She fears that Caleb is perhaps not her daughter’s biological father.
In an attempt to rest her fears for good, Ruby decided to get a DNA test done to confirm Steph’s true paternity. Ruby had decided that no matter what the results proved, she would take the truth with her to the grave. Unfortunately, things did not go quite as planned. Emmerdale spoilers confirm that in a shocking turn of events, Caleb found the DNA reports in his wife’s handbag. The reports confirmed Ruby’s worst fears, and proved that Caleb isn’t Steph’s bio dad.
Shocked by the news, Caleb confronted Ruby and accused her of lying to him for so many years. Furthermore, he accused her of having cheated on him. He does not know the truth about what Anthony had done to Ruby, and it appears that she is not going to tell him anytime soon. This decision to stay quiet could cost Ruby everything! If Caleb continues to believe that she cheated on him, he will become more and more distant from her. Perhaps, even reach a point where he decides to end their relationship.
But hold on, there is a saving grace here! The latest spoilers tease that once Chas gets updates on the DNA test, she will start connecting the dots. She will take Ruby’s disdain and fear towards her father into consideration and realize that he was the one who abused her! Moreover, when she realizes that Caleb and Ruby’s relationship is on the verge of breaking apart due to his misunderstanding, we doubt she’ll stay quiet.
Chas may tell Caleb that Anthony assaulted Ruby as a teen. The truth will put everything in perspective, and Caleb will most certainly mend things with Ruby.
