The Tinseltown star Wendell Pierce recently spoke up about his reunion with former Suits co-star Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. Pierce shared his impressions of the Sussexes during their meet-up last year while speaking at the 2024 Tony Awards. The actor noted that Meghan and Harry were “very much in love.” Wendell recalled wishing the US-based royals and their kids well when Meghan was in town for an award last year. Wendell told People, “They looked very much in love and were very happy, so that’s the most important thing.” The actor played the role of the father of Meghan’s character, Rachel Zane, on Suits. In the conversation, Pierce reminisced about their time working together, describing it “a blast.” The telly actor also mentioned that he has met with the Duchess a few times since the show wrapped up in 2019.
According to the Tony Award winner, it’s been nice reminiscing about the old days on the sets of Suits. Wendell added, “We have fond memories of working together.” At the Awards, Pierce also touched upon the unexpected popularity of Suits on Netflix, where it broke streaming records in 2023. It was astonishing for the actor! He explains, “We finished the show almost eight years ago, and so to have this resurgence is pretty amazing.”
Furthermore, Pierce dropped hints about a possible return to the Suits universe with the upcoming spinoff, Suits L.A. The drama will star Stephen Amell. The seasoned star thinks a new generation of folks is taking over. Plus, he is sure some of the old characters will make cameos. “But it’s really great to have a resurgence.”
