These include the Act of Settlement (1701) and the Succession to the Crown Act (2013). In 2013, a new law struck down the “boys before girls” rule regarding succession.
In addition, the act allowed royal family members to marry Catholics without losing their spot in line. Also, any change to these rules would need all 15 Commonwealth nations to agree.
